Politics: Boycott Israel

Hi all,
if you know some moonbats who call for boycotting Israel,
(donk ask them for reasons, they are moonbats after all...)
just send them this link by Barry Show :)

OK. So I understand that you are ticked off at Israel, and in love with the Palestinians.
That's fine with me, as long as you have truly weighed up all the facts.

So, you want to boycott Israel?

I'll be sorry to miss you, but if you are doing it - do it properly.

Let me help you.

Make sure that you do not have tablets, drops, lotions, etc., made by Abic or Teva.

It may mean that you will suffer from colds and flu this winter but, hey, that's a small price for you to pay in your campaign against Israel, isn't it?

While we are on the subject of your Israeli boycott, and the medical contributions to the world made by Israeli doctors and scientists, how about telling your pals to boycott the following....

An Israeli company has developed a simple blood test that distinguishes between mild and more severe cases of Multiple Sclerosis.

So, if you know anyone suffering from MS, tell them to ignore the Israeli patent that may, more accurately, diagnose their symptoms.

An Israeli-made device helps restore the use of paralysed hands. This device electrically stimulates the hand muscles, providing hope to millions of stroke sufferers and victims of spinal injuries.

If you wish to remove this hope of a better quality of life to these people, go ahead and boycott Israel.

Young children with breathing problems will soon be sleeping more soundly, thanks to a new Israeli device called the Child Hood.

This innovation replaces the inhalation mask with an improved drug delivery system that provides relief for child and parent.

Please tell anxious mothers that they shouldn't use this device because of your passionate cause.

These are just a few examples of how people have benefitted medically from the Israeli know-how you wish to block.

Boycotts often affect research.

A new research center in Israel hopes to throw light on brain disorders such as depression and Alzheimer's disease.

The Joseph Sangol Neuroscience Center in the Sheba Medical Center at Tel HaShomer Hospital aims to bring thousands of scientists and doctors to focus on brain research.

A researcher at Israel's Ben Gurion University has succeeded in creating human monoclonal antibodies which can neutralise the highly contageous smallpox virus without inducing the dangerous side effects of the exisiting vaccine.

Two Israelis received the 2004 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Doctors Ciechanover and Hershko's research and discovery of one of the human cells most important cyclical processes will lead the way to DNA repair, control of newly produced proteins, and immune defense systems.

The Movement Disorder Surgery program at Israel's Hadassah Medical Center has successfully eliminated the physical manifestations of Parkinson's disease in a select group of patients with a deep brain stimulation technique.

For women who undergo hysterectomies each year for the treatment of uterine fibroids, the development in Israel of the ExAblate 2000 System is a welcome breakthrough, offering a non-invasive alternative to surgery.

Israel is developing a nose drop that will provide a five year flu vaccine.

These are just a few of the projects that you can help stop with your Israeli boycott.

But let's not get too obsessed with medical research, there are other ways you can make a personal sacrifice with your anti-Israel boycott.

Most of Windows operating systems were developed by Microsoft-Israel.

So, set a personal example. Throw away your computer!

The Pentium MMX Chip technology was designed at Intel in Israel.

Both the Pentium 4 microprocessor and the Centrium processor were entirely designed, developed, and produced in Israel.

Voice mail technology was developed in Israel.

The technology for the AOL Instant Messenger ICQ was developed in 1996 in Israel by four young Israeli whiz kids.

Both Microsoft and Cisco built their only R.& D facilities outside the US in Israel.

So, due to your complete boycott of anything Israeli, you now have poor health and no computer.

But your bad news does not end there. Get rid of your cellular phone!

Cell phone technology was also developed in Israel by Motorola, which has its biggest development center in Israel.

Most of the latest technology in your mobile phone was developed by Israeli scientists.

Feeling unsettled? You should be. Part of your personal security rests with Israeli inventiveness, borne out of our urgent neccesity to protect and defend our lives from the terrorists you support.

A phone can remotely activate a bomb, or be used for tactical communications by terrorists, bank robbers, or hostage-takers.

It is vital that official security and law enforcement authorities have access to celluar jamming and detection solutions.

Enter Israel's Netline Communications Technologies with their security expertise to help the fight against terror.

A joint, non-profit, venture between Israel and Maryland will result in a 5 day Business Development and Planning Conference next March.

Selected Israeli companies will partner with Maryland firms to provide innovation to the US need for homeland security.

I also want you to know that Israel has the highest ratio of university degrees to the population in the world.

Israel produces more scientific papers per capita - 109 per 10,000 - than any other nation.

Israel has the highest number of start-up companies per rata. In absolute terms, the highest number, except the US.

Israel has the highest ratio of patents filed. Israel has the highest concentration of hi-tech companies outside of Silicon Valley.

Israel is ranked 2 in the world for venture capital funds, behind the USA.

Israel has more museums per capita.

Israel has the second highest publication of new books per capita.

Relative to population, Israel is the largest immigrant absorbing nation on earth.

These immigrants come in search of democracy, religious freedom or expression, economic opportunity, and quality of life.

Believe it or not, Israel is the only country in the world which had a net gain in the number of trees last year.

So, you can vilify and demonize the State of Israel. You can continue your silly boycott, if you wish. But I wish you would consider the consequences, and the truth.

Think of the massive contribution that Israel is giving to the world, including the Palestinians - and to you - in science, medicine, communications, security.

Pro rata for population we are making a greater contribution than any other nation on earth.

We can't be all bad....

History: BIG LIES:

Hi all, I have stumbled upon a wondrous article by David Meir-Levi,
about the so called "Israeli Arab" conflict,

It is called:
Demolishing The Myths of the Propaganda War Against Israel

I will post here the intro, please read the rest,
it is a matter of great importance.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS TEXT by David Horowitz

The War in the Middle East is nearly sixty years old. Most people alive today are unfamiliar with its history and origins and lack knowledge of its facts. This state of ignorance provides a fertile ground for the unscrupulous to create myths that will justify their destructive agendas. The political propaganda machine has created many such myths to fuel their war against the Jewish state.

Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East that elects its lead?ers in free elections and guarantees rights to its citizens, and honors those rights. Yet Israel is the target of those who claim to be fighting for “human rights.” There are about a million and a half Arabs living as citizens in Israel who elect representatives to Israel’s parliament and who have more rights than the Arab citizens of any Arab state. Yet Israel is the target of those who claim to be fighting for “social justice.” Israel’s very creation is referred to by its Arab enemies as "the Nakba", or the “catastrophe,” the clear implication of which is that Israel should not exist. Yet Israel is the target of those who claim to support self-determination and oppose genocide. Israel was the victim – at its very birth -- of an unprovoked aggression by five Arab mon?archies and dictatorships. It has been the target of an Arab war that has continued uninterruptedly for nearly sixty years because the Arab states have refused to make peace. Yet Israel is the target of those who say they want “peace.” Israel is the victim of terrorist attacks – sui?cide bombings – which along with the Jews they mark for extinction, kill Palestinian women and children as well. Yet Israel is the target of those who claim to speak for humanity and a future that is “free.”

How is this possible? How can evil be dressed in the garments of justice? How can a genocidal war to destroy a democratic people be justified as a struggle for “national liberation?”

They can through the creation of political myths that rationalize aggression and justify war against civilian populations.

In George Orwell’s futuristic novel, 1984, the Ministry of Truth for the totalitarian state proclaims: Knowledge Is Ignorance; Freedom Is Slavery. The nature of political doublespeak never changes and its agenda is always the same: Obliteration of historical memory in the service of power. “The struggle of man against power,” wrote the Czech writer, Milan Kundera, “is the struggle of memory against forgetting.” Only a restored memory can demolish totalitarian myths and make men free.

and again, I urge you to find the time and to read the article.

Domestic:Wild wild south...

four cattle thieves, broke into a secluded farm near the town "Meitar"
poisoned the guard dog and took the cattle herd
,

because it wasn't the first (and not even the second) burglary to the place, the farmer "Shay Dromi" was sleeping in the barn.
he heard the burglars breaking the heavy locks, woke up and shot in the general direction of the burglars because they were close and he was scared for his life.

The shot hit two burglars (probably shotgun) one of them died from his wounds at the hospital, the police is noting that the farmer was trying to give first aid to the burglars.
the dead burglar is a convicted criminal with a big record who JUST got released from four year sentence in jail for: cattle theft... you guessed right..

now, the absurd of the story is that the man Shay Dromi is accused with murder!!!
yes, that right, in our country, completely crooked prime minister is leading the country, the criminal families drinking with police officers and one brave man who tried to protect his farm his home and his life, is charged with murder...

please sign the pettition to free this brave man,
it might not bring him free, for this country doesnt have any real justice institution since Aharon Barak was elected as president of the high court and destoyed every trace for justice in there...
but if a lot of people will sign the petittion, that means not all is lost and there is a hope for this country and the people of Israel.

for more info on the subject you can read (hebrew) here and here.

if you want to read the summary of the story in english please see a fellow blogger "Woland" post here.

UPDATE:

this is getting even better!

the second burglar is being released from the hospital, and set free, not arrested, not detained, nothing! walk out the doors without ANY charges...

I bet Kafka is turning in his grave...

IS Ali Khamenei dead?

Some sources say that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has died from cancer.
he was hospitalized last months in bad condition.

we can wait and see the MSM reporting in the next few days to see if the information is true.

UPDATE

it seems like the information was not very accurate,
apparently he had a cerberal stroke, and had some brain damage,
he is not dead, but:

Iran’s supreme rule Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, 68, appeared on state TV Monday looking pale and feeble, after suffering a cerebral stroke last Wednesday Jan. 3

January 8, 2007, 2:28 PM (GMT+02:00)

He declared again Iran would not give up its development of nuclear technology in the face of Western pressure at a televized meeting with clerics from the holy city of Qom.

As soon as he was stricken Wednesday, our sources report he was transferred to the emergency department of the Khatam Al-Anbia hospital, since when he has recovered consciousness every few hours and can identify the people around him. According to our Tehran sources, after neurosurgeons diagnosed extensive brain damage, two foreign teams of specialists were rushed over from Germany and Switzerland Friday. By Saturday, they had stabilized his condition enough to put him before TV cameras and refute the rumors spreading round Iranian exile communities that he was dead. The rumors were started when he missed two important state and religious events and was not seen in public after Dec. 24.

In the interim, our Tehran sources report the aged, scholarly Ayatollah Mohammed Reza Mahdavi Khani, an apolitical figure, was appointed temporary stand-in for the supreme ruler. Khamenei is considering making the appointmentas permanent.

Khamenei’s illness had been kept a close secret in Tehran for fear of an outbreak of factional hostilities. The elections held last month for the Council of Experts, which is competent to choose the supreme ruler, was not accepted by the radical political and military camps, especially president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his backers, the Revolutionary Guards. They took exception to the comeback of former president Hashemi Rafsanjani, who Khamenei had placed in line as his successor.

According to our Iranian experts, the supreme ruler has suffered some years from cancer of the digestive system, which recently spread to his prostate glands. A cerebral stroke on top of this malady is likely to remove him from public office.

The Islamic Republic appears therefore to face a period of confrontation and instability in the interim period between Khamenei’s rule and the succession - up to and including a violent coup d’etat by the RGs – with critical effect on the national nuclear program, depending on which camp prevails.

To keep the lid on the threatened factional showdown, Iran’s ambassador to the UN Mohammad Javad Zarif was ordered to deny reports of Khamenei’s death.

These rumors were greeted with joy by millions of Tehranis who posted the glad tidings by SMS. Police in the capital were ordered to detain people on the streets and check their mobile phones for these messages.

Politics: The Occupation part 1

There are a lot of people who blame their personal failures or some unsolved personality issues with the most trampled mantra "It's because the Occupation"

there is no peace? its "Because of the Occupation"
the government is dysfunctional? its its "Because of the Occupation"
the economy is bad? its "Because of the Occupation"
the islamofascistic Koranimals killing us? - its "Because of the Occupation"
the islamofascistic Koranimals killing each other?- its "Because of the Occupation"
the Ozone layer is thinning? its "Because of the Occupation"

So, couple of months ago there was an interview with a captured "suicide bomber" who failed to detonate and was captured,
lets see what he said:

Reporter: Why do you want to become a suicide bomber?
BOMBER: I originally decided to become a martyr after I saw what the Israeli army did in the refugee camp of Jenin in the big military campaign of April, 2002.

But this idea became stronger when I understood what status I will have in heaven if I scarify myself for Allah. Every time somebody else dies as a martyr in a suicide bomb attack, I pray for him but I feel jealous. I want to be where he is now and I pray that Allah will one day offer me this occasion and this honor.

now we have to remember what exactly was in Jenin, and what the Arabs were screaming then...

(Palestinian leaders accused the Jewish state of a "massacre," claiming the Israeli Defense Forces killed over 500 Palestinian civilians, including many women and children.

It was later determined 56 Palestinians, mostly gunmen, were killed in the raid, which followed a series of deadly suicide attacks inside Israel that were reportedly planned and directed from the terror infrastructure in Jenin. Twenty-three Israeli soldiers died in the Jenin battle, in which IDF troops conducted house-to-house searches to minimize civilian casualties by avoiding air attacks.)

then comes the next question:

Reporter: Is your main motivation for becoming a bomber is to serve Allah?
BOMBER: Yes, of course. Allah gave Muslims the possibility to gain their prize and payment in different ways. There are those (Muslims) who pray and fast only and respect Allah's commandments, and there are those who wish a higher prize. And the highest prize is given to those who scarify themselves, their lives, their bodies and everything in this world.

and then this "non-brainwashed" "freedom fighter" /sarcazm off

was asked this question:

Reporter: What you are saying is interesting because a lot of academics in the United States and many of my colleagues in the media claim Palestinians become suicide bombers because they are poor and desperate and because of so-called Israeli occupation. Are you telling me these are not the reasons you want to blow yourself up amongst Israelis?

BOMBER: The will to scarify myself for Allah is the first and most major reason. It is true that the Zionists are occupying our lands and that it is our religious duty to fight them, including through suicide attacks. The goal is not the killing of the Jews, but that this is the way to reach Allah.

The goal is satisfying Allah and his instructions. No money interests, nothing. No brainwash, no pressure; it is my decision. All the other lies are pathetic Israeli propaganda.

I pray that Allah gives me the honor to be dead in an operation. This is the supreme and the noblest way to ascend to Allah.

These martyrs have special status in the next world and have bigger chances to watch Allah's face and enjoy the magnificent pleasures he offers us.

'It is our duty to fight Jews but our goal is to please Allah'

So...

its still the "occupation?" right?
well, maybe its the occupation of Jewish ancestral land by Arabs (so called "Paleostinians") is the cause for all the problems in middle east...

think about it...

POLITICS: Open Season....

Good mornin'

there is a rap-metal band "Stuck Mojo", (although I am not a big fan of rap of any kind)
these dudes decided to wake up from their usual MTV style, took the red pill and went to the real world...

if you dont want to read long and boring articles, just watch this short clip...

now... watch it... and send it to all you know...

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered; Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway.
If you are successful you will win some false friends and true enemies; Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
